Planting & Mulch
Preston’s can install one plant or a whole yard full of plants — including annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees — for you. Plus, we’ll include all of the necessary soil amendments and starter fertilizers for the specific plants you’ve chosen.
Pricing is plant-specific, so when you’re in the nursery, make sure to check our tags for planting prices. We’ll help you find the right plants and answer all of your questions about where, when and how installation works. If you need more help, we also offer landscape design services so that you know that you’re putting the right plant in the right spot.
Done with planting? We’d be glad to freshen up your garden beds with a layer of our premium hardwood bark mulch (or any other mulch). Please call 502-969-5655 for a quote. We can typically deliver the next day.
Delivery Schedule & Charges
If you reach a minimum purchase, and you live in the Palatine area, we will delivery your plants for free! More typically, we charge for delivery based on location — zone 1, zone 2, zone 3, etc. below. Weekend deliveries and planting services are available, but we generally need 48-hour notice, and surcharges apply.

Remember: when you are planting trees or shrubs, you should call Steve Mercer (502) 969-5655 at least 48 hours prior to digging. They will come at no charge to mark your underground utilities. When Preston’s is doing the planting, we will call Steve.
